SOFT offers undergraduate level BTEC diploma verified and approved by Pearson BTEC Higher National qualifications in Art and Design (Fashion & Textiles).
BTEC qualifications are awarded by Pearson, the UK's largest awarding body offering academic and vocational qualifications that are globally recognized and benchmarked.
Pearson BTEC Qualification
Qualification titles offered by Pearson BTEC are:
Level 4 -Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Fashion & Textile - 120 Credits
Level 5 - Higher National Diploma (HND) in Fashion - 240 Credits (including 120 credits of level 4)
Fashion Design curriculum begins with the 1St year as SOFT Foundation which covers all the fundamentals and basic introduction to design building
Learners will progress to second year of Pearson BTEC Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Fashion & Textile aimed to develop vision and ideas, exploring areas of fashion and textiles. Learners will study CAD, design development, pattern making garment manufacturing with industrial methods.
Progression to third year of Pearson Higher National Diploma (HND) in Fashion will make learner independent for research and design projects, also encourage exploring and experimenting on innovative pattern making and garment cutting techniques. Upon course completion, learners will be well-versed in the many aspects of fashion design and production.
On successful completion of the Pearson BTEC Level 4 Higher National Certificate and Level 5 Higher National Diploma, Learner will be aiming to go on to employment or can progress to a final year of the bachelor’s degree.
*Entry to eligible university will depend on satisfactory completion of HND as per standards of Pearson's BTEC Qualification.
